THE EMPOWERMENT NETWORK GROUP has broken ground on a community clean water project that will serve three villages in Teso North sub-county. The project, funded by member contributions and a grant from a local NGO, will provide clean and safe drinking water to over 2,000 households.
Construction of the water system, which includes a borehole, overhead tank, and distribution piping, is expected to be completed within 4 months. The project will be managed by a community water committee with representation from TENG Busia.
This initiative is part of our broader community development agenda, which aims to improve the quality of life for residents in Busia County beyond our membership.
